
Launching Your Microbakery: A Three Day Intensive with Laila O’Boyle

Ready to turn your passion for sourdough into a thriving microbakery? This 3-day hands-on class is designed to guide you through every step of launching your own baking business. You’ll learn the full sourdough process—from mixing and fermentation to baking—and receive Laila’s personal, tested recipes. We will make Cookies, Scones, German Rye Bread, Potato Onion Focaccia along with more classic sourdough staples. Between baking sessions, we’ll dive into essential topics like designing your menu, building your brand, packaging, marketing, getting the right permits and licenses, and choosing the right equipment. Whether you’re baking from home or planning a small commercial setup, this workshop covers the practical skills and business basics you need to confidently launch your microbakery.
Breakfast and Lunch each day is included.

Although masks and proof of vaccination are not currently required to participate in any courses at the Artisan Baking Center, masks are encouraged for any participants who wish to use them in order to stop the spread of infectious illness. Instructor Bio
Laila O’Boyle is a seasoned sourdough baker and educator with a deep passion for naturally leavened bread and small-scale baking. With years of hands-on experience and a following of over 100,000 in the sourdough community, she specializes in teaching approachable, technique-focused classes that empower home bakers to build confidence and creativity. Laila offers one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and online content, all rooted in her belief that great bread starts with intuition, care, and a well-fed starter. Whether guiding beginners through their first loaf or helping experienced bakers refine their craft, Laila’s teaching style is clear, encouraging, and always full of real-world insight.
