Whole Grain Holiday Cooking with Naomi Crawford and FEED Cooperative
December 3 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Join us for a hand-on cooking class creating a festive holiday menu focused on whole grains and featuring organic produce from local farms with FEED Cooperative. Led by Naomi Crawford of Petaluma’s Lunchette, you’ll create and enjoy a delicious, seasonal farm to table menu. Naomi will also share tips on making the most of a produce subscription box.
Proposed menu (subject to change based on available produce):
Escarole Salad with Walnuts, Persimmons, Pomegranate, Caramelized Fennel, Shallots and Herbs + Date Lemon Dressing
Farro or Wheat Berry Risotto with Roasted Squash, Kale, Mushrooms and Sage
Pumpkin Spice Chia Pudding with Fall Fruits
Plus a mineral broth from all the skins and tops – for use in the risotto, soups, cooking and smoothies
FEED Cooperative is a farmer and worker-owned food hub located just around the corner from the Artisan Baking Center in the Barn 5400 lot. Since 2011, FEED has been distributing produce sourced from our network of over 50 farms, predominantly located in Sonoma and Marin Counties, to businesses and households throughout the Bay Area. If you buy from local farms in any way, you’re likely familiar with the produce and products that FEED carries.
